The Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics (AIDA) group at Ghent University is led by Prof. Tijl De Bie. Currently, the group consists of 10 PhD students, 3 postdoctoral researchers, and 2 professors. The group is also part of the larger Internet Technology and Data Science Lab (IDLab).
The research at AIDA covers a wide range of topics in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science. More specifically, we conduct research on graph and text mining, representation learning, generative AI, recommender systems, fairness and bias, data visualization, and music information retrieval.
The group is currently funded by Prof. De Bie’s ERC Advanced Grant VIGILIA, the Flemish Government under the "Onderzoeksprogramma Artificiële Intelligentie (AI) Vlaanderen" programme, FWO and BOF Individual Fellowship Grants, and several FWO projects.
