Nobl.ai is a new spin-off from the AIDA research group, a member of the Flanders AI Research Program (FAIR) since its inception.
The spin-off is focused on building trustworthy AI models for the labour market and delivering them as SaaS products. Backed by the extensive academic research experience of the Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics group at Ghent University, Nobl.ai provides an array of different AI products. These range from state-of-the-art recommender systems for candidate and occupation matching to normalization (tagging) of occupation and education descriptions into proprietary and standard taxonomies (ISCO, ESCO, O*Net, ROME, etc.) and data-driven and skill-based career path recommendations.
It builds on research results from two previous ERC grants (a Consolidator and a Proof of Concept grant), which have further matured within the FAIR Grand Challenge on AI-driven data science, and the Use Case on Public Employment, under the supervision of co-founder Prof. Tijl De Bie.
The other co-founders are Dr. Bo Kang, who developed the scientific principles underlying the core products during his PhD, and Dr. Alexandru Cristian Mara, who worked on related topics and was among the first cohort of PhD students to have graduated from FAIR. They will act as CTO and CEO of Nobl.ai, respectively.
This launch is more than an achievement; it’s a promise to our community and to the world that we are committed to making a difference.
